Since I took out my current package I have become a webcam model and it is no longer good enough to sustain the demands of HD camming, so need to choose a much better broadband package that will offer the speeds needed for streaming. Which broadband providers and packages are other models using and would you recommend it to other cam models because it is good for camming? Thanks for your help.
I switched from Sky Fibre Max (rebranded as Sky Broadband Superfast) to Virgin Media Gig1 Fibre Broadband (1130Mbps average download &
52Mbps average upload speed).
I was in two minds about switching to Virgin or just sticking with BT and changing to the Sky Broadband Ultrafast Plus package, which says it offers an average upload speed of 60Mb/s which is slightly faster than the Gig1 Fibre (+ 8Mb/s). The clincher for me was the package Virgin Media offer (Ultimate Volt bundle) which includes the broadband, TV, landline and mobile sim deal all-in-one and it worked out a better price than a sky bundle for the same.
I have had Virgin Media Gig1 Fibre for a good 6 months now and not had one single issue with my broadband and have noticed a huge difference in my webcam and think it has a lot to do with a significant increase in my popularity. I get a lot of customers complimenting how good my cam quality is, which is the same webcam I used before, so think it is the broadband upload speed and connection.
Good luck. I know it can sometimes be a bit of a minefield choosing a service provider, the services available are dependent on your address/area and can sometimes be a nightmare if you choose one that is experiencing problems in your area, so I would also advise asking the question about the provider in your local Facebook group just to see if anybody local to you is experiencing any problems.
